Take charge this week!

Starting your week without a plan sometimes feels like walking around your house in complete darkness. You know where everything is meant to be, but you are not entirely sure where and how you will reach the other side safely. Here at Nexus Co-work, we like to be aware and on our toes with these six tips.

  1. CREATE A LIST OF WEEKLY TASK

The best time to create your list is on a Sunday night. Brainstorm all the tasks into a list of things that need to be done in the coming week.

  1. SET PRIORITIES

The list you created on Sunday evening should constitute of the things that must be done, those that should be done and others that are not a complete emergency.  Setting a priority helps you see which tasks need to be completed immediately and which can wait.

  1. CREATE A SCHEDULE AND SET DEADLINES

Ordering your list with priorities should assist in the formation of a schedule outlining what needs to be done by which date. Setting a time frame on your tasks helps you move through your list in a clear manner.

  1. DON’T RUSH

People tend to pressurize themselves to complete the tasks at hand. Give yourself enough time to gather your thoughts and put yourself in the right state of mind to work through your list.

  1. LIMIT DISTRACTIONS

…starting with your phone and social media! You cannot be effective in implementing your tasks if you are constantly checking your phone and chatting.

  1. TAKE A BREAK!

According to science pausing for a moment to relax and re-boot is essential not only for achieving productivity but also success and having a positive outlook on the future. So get up off your desk, go for a walk, and grab a glass of water or coffee. You will be surprised how much energy boost you will get out of it.

With these six tips, your week will go by without a hitch.
